Flexible wood shelf
Reshaping continuously adjustable wooden shelves
This particular piece of wood furniture gave us a special pleasure when designing. The concept relied on designing a solution with a module that could produce an infinite amount of solutions reshaping and adapting the shelves continuously to each surrounding space and each user.
It’s form is also interesting and rich on contrasts. When we look from behind or in front we see transparent wood shelves. On the other hand, when we look from it’s sides we see a solid and opaque wood form. This fun contrast is always an important design feature that we try to achieve.
The flexibility of this shelves is also a key factor on it’s functionality. Not only allows the adaptation to different spaces but also proves to be of extreme importance when we need to place diferent kinds of objects with different dimensions and weights. It’s structure can be by this mean adjusted to include lighter or heavier objects inside.
